♥ Butter (100g) ♥ Cocoa powder (40g) ♥ Caster sugar (225g) ♥ Eggs (x2) ♥ Plain Flour (50g) ♥ Vanilla Extract (1/2 tsp) ♥ Milk chocolate pieces (100g) ♥
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C Fan / Gas Mark 4. Meanwhile melt the butter on a low heat, and mix in the cocoa powder until it is combined. Set this mixture aside.
Mix the sugar and eggs together. Then add in the cocoa mixture, the flour and the vanilla extract and mix well. Stir in the chocolate pieces.
Line an 8 inch / 20 cm square tin with baking parchment (you don’t have to be too neat), and pour in the mixture. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes, or until the mixture no longer wobbles when gently shaken.
Leave the brownies in the tin to cool. Once cool remove the brownies by lifting out the baking parchment. Cut the cake into approximately sixteen brownies.
